The Committee for the 100 Mile Peanut Pickin Yard Sale would like to remind you that this years yard sale will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 8am-6pm. We hope that our 1st years event will be a huge success!
We invite you and your church family, club, or organization to participate by having a yard or bake sale on October 8, 2011. Surrounding counties who participate in yard sales such as these make great deals and earn a good deal of money to help fund projects. All the money you raise is yours to further your ministry, civic club, or organization.
In case you are not familiar with a regional yard sale, let us explain. Basically anyone, who has permission from the land or business owner along the 100 mile highway course may set up on Saturday October 8, 2011 and to host a yard/bake sale, sell water/drinks and prepackaged food items. There is no charge to set up outside the city. However if you would like to set up a yard sale within the city limits the vender application fee is $30 and you can obtain one by contacting the county representative. All proceeds go to the family or organization that has the sale. This is simply a tourism effort for our area  an opportunity to invite visitors into our area who may purchase a home or start a business.
If your Church, Civic Club, or Organization is not interested in having a sale of any kind, we encourage you to open your doors for restrooms breaks for our visitors and hand out information regarding your affiliation. This is a great opportunity for anyone trying to raise funds for any project. Please consider being a part of this effort for our area.
