Using Your Garden's Bounty

              The Moultrie-Colquitt County Library will host “Using Your Garden’s Bounty” by Andrea Scarrow on Tuesday, May 14, beginning at 6 p.m. at the library, 204 5^th Street Southeast in Moultrie.  Scarrow is a Colquitt County Extension Agent with the University of Georgia, Family and Consumer Sciences.          

Those attending will learn about the importance of increasing fruits and vegetables in their diet to prevent chronic disease.   In addition, they will receive new recipes for fruits and vegetables, learn about cooking methods that preserve nutrition and taste without adding extra calories, and talk about ways to entice children to eat more fruits and vegetables.  Participants will also taste-test a low calorie fruit and vegetable dip.
