The Mended Hearts, Inc. SOWEGA Has Heart™ Community Health Fair is all about caring for our neighbors and ensuring that individuals and families have access to important health resources—especially those who may experience challenges obtaining routine medical care. On February 7, we invite you to join us for a day focused on prevention, education, and early detection.
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free health screenings and laboratory tests provided by the Phoebe Mobile Wellness Unit, Smart ABI, and Care Access including:
 
Cardiovascular & Metabolic Screenings

• Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), and Blood Pressure
• Lipid Panel (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides)
• Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] testing to assess inherited cardiovascular risk
• Blood Glucose and Hemoglobin A1C to screen for diabetes and prediabetes
• Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) screening to detect circulation problems

• Liver Function Testing, including indicators related to fatty liver disease
• Kidney Function Testing to assess overall renal health

• Individuals between the ages of 55 and 85 are also eligible for pTau testing, a blood‑based marker that can indicate Alzheimer’s disease pathology and support early conversations about brain health and cognitive care planning.
