Dr. Jeff Newberry, author of two books of poetry, "Brackish" and "A Visible Sign," will hold a poetry workshop at the Moultrie Library on Saturday, March 23, from 1 to 3 p.m., 204 Fifth Street, SE, in Moultrie.
"The Making of a Poem: Live and Uncensored" will be a short introduction to contemporary poetry. The workshop aims to give beginning poets encouragement and confidence in their work.
Dr. Newberry teaches writing and literature at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, where he serves as a faculty advisor for "Pegasus," ABAC's regional literary magazine.
