Susan Cerulean We Are Not Separate: Advocating for Nature and Place

On Tuesday, September 22, writer and naturalist Susan Cerulean will talk about how we can be most effective as we speak on behalf of the places and creatures we care about. Cerulean is chair of the advocacy committee for the Supporters of St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge, and has written many books and articles about Florida wildlife and wildlands. She is a writer, naturalist and activist based in Tallahassee, Florida. Her second nature memoir?Coming to Pass: Florida?s Coastal Islands in a Gulf of Change was published by the University of Georgia Press (2015). Previous books include Tracking Desire: A Journey after Swallow-tailed Kites, UnspOILed: Writers Speak for Florida?s Coast, and Between Two Rivers: Stories from the Red Hills to the Gulf. She is a founding member of Heart of the Earth and the Red Hills Writers Project. The program will be held at the Library located on 204 5th St., SW, Moultrie, GA. It is free and everyone is welcome attend. This program is sponsored by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library and the SWGA Conservancy. The Conservancy meets the fourth Tuesday of every month.
