May Day Festival and Parade

 Come and enjoy the May Day Festival starting off with a parade at 10am and following the parade, a variety of activities will take place at the park throughout the day.

There will be several activities for children near the fire station, including a petting zoo, inflatable jumping area and an inflatable slide. Adults will also have plenty to do by visiting the many vendors selling food, arts and crafts and other items.

The festival will also include a barbecue cook-off as well as a variety of performers on the main stage. The main stage will host singers, dancers, the CCHS men’s chorus, the CCHS dance team, beauty queens and a best legs competition. Prizes will also be given away during the festival, including a 50/50 drawing where the winner will win half of all the money raised, and the winner does not have to be present to win.

The festival will conclude with a street dance and free concert.

The festival is sponsored by the Doerun Boosters, which thanked all their sponsors throughout the area for their support.

A golf tournament will also be held at The Barrens in conjunction with the event in town.
