You and I live in the “land of the free” only because it is also “the home of the brave”. The ability to pursue any and all business opportunities in this country, past and present, can be directly attributed to the actions and support of our military and military veterans. The show will feature the seven member Charlotte, NC based rock band “Sunstone”. Sunstone won Best Rock Band 2013 at the Carolina Music Awards, and they have shared billing with legendary acts such as ZZ Top, Foreigner, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, etc. There will also be raffles, door prizes, and a silent auction. Our veterans return home suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental issues. Unfortunately, they do not get the prompt and efficient treatment they deserve from our government agencies. They experience tremendous hardship in re-acclimating back into our communities. Many end up in shelters or living on the streets.
Some objectives we hope to achieve through this concert include encouraging civic organizations, private sector firms, business leaders, and policymakers to work together and create initiatives and programs that will increase the level of care and service provided to our Vets in the state of Georgia. We also want to raise awareness of the plight of our veterans with the general public.
