The African Children’s Choir in Moultrie!
March 4, 2012 (Moultrie, GA): The internationally acclaimed African Children’s Choir will be performing at First Baptist Church on Sunday, March 4th at 6:00 pm!
The African Children’s Choir melts the hearts of Audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances. The program features well-loved children’s songs, traditional Spirituals and rhythmic Gospel Favorites. In spite of the tragedy that has marred their young lives, the children are radiant with hope and joy; musically gifted and always wonderfully entertaining.
Proceeds from the Choir performances allow the African Children’s Choir to raise global awareness of the plight of the millions of orphaned and abandoned children in Africa. Donations directly support the expansion of sponsorship and education programs for both the current Choir children as well as the thousands of other students and children they represent.
Music For Life Institute’s (MFLI) purpose is to help create new leadership for tomorrow’s Africa. By helping the most vulnerable children in Africa today, they can help Africa tomorrow. Music for Life works in seven African countries such as, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. MFLI has educated over 52,000 children and impacted the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programs during its history.
“The children in the Choir represent millions of children in Africa. These children are bright, articulate and motivated to realize their potential. We believe they can make a difference and we believe that when audiences see Africa through their eyes they will want to partner with us to give these children every opportunity to succeed and impact their countries,” says Ray Barnett, founder of the African Children’s Choir.
In addition to education the Choir finances numerous relief and development projects throughout Africa, including the Music for Life Centers in AIDS-devastated South Africa, and food relief containers to war-torn Sudan.
Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at the performance to support African Children’s Choir programs. Please come and partner with us to make an impact in the lives of these precious children and their country.
