DESCRIPTION:Colquitt County Serenity House Project\, Inc. currently has an opening for Night/Weekend Advocate position. This position is part-time and third shift.Serenity House is a non-profit 24-hour domestic violence shelter that also operates a 24- hour crisis hotline. REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should possess high diploma/GED\,ability to maintain confidentiality\,excellent people skills\,ability to work sentively with traumatized populations\, including children\, flexible schedule and strong desire to help others. Applicants should also be physically able to perform housekeeping duties and  possess reliable transportation and valid Georgia Driver's License.A criminal background check is required prior to beginning work. Applicants should work well independently and as part of a team. CPR training for Infants\, Children and Adults and previous experience working with individuals in crisis\, is preferred . Bilingual is preferred\, but not required.\n\nDUTIES: Answer crisis hotline\, perform in-take with residents\, assist residents with needs while in shelter\,housekeeping duties\,attend monthly staff meetings and all required trainings.All other duties as assigned.
