DESCRIPTION:The Calico Arts and Crafts Show is a one-stop shopping extravaganza for Southwest Georgia and the surrounding area. From ornamental iron home and garden d cor\, to painted glass and antiques\, to whimsical painted children's furniture and accessories it's all together in one location. Approximately 200 vendors featuring fine arts\, handmade crafts and hand decorated items exhibit their lovingly made items so you'll feel really good supporting the local economy while acquiring unique gifts for your friends and family. In addition to the arts and crafts\, Calico offers a wide selection of mouth-watering food and refreshments as well as clogging performances. The show has become an established\, highly anticipated event held each March and November. The Calico Shows are held at Spence Field in Moultrie\, Georgia\, just 4 miles Southeast of Highway 319 on Highway 133. Free parking and easy access make it easy to start having fun immediately. \n\nThe exceptional quality of the arts and crafts is ensured through a jury process which receives approximately 500 applications from not only local craftsman\, but creative artisans from across the country. The shows are advertised by television\, radio\, flyers\, newspapers\, magazines\, and the internet. It is an excellent chance for you\, the vendor\, to sell your goods to a wide cross section of the Southeast. LOCATION:The Calico Arts & Crafts show's permanent home is at Spence Field in Moultrie\, GA. 4 miles southeast of U.S. Hwy 319 on Hwy 133. Directions into Spence field & to EXPO building On Hwy 133\, turn left into Gate 2. Follow West Yount Street and you will come to a one-way traffic circle. Take the traffic circle around until you reach North Vandenberg Drive - turn right onto North Vandenberg Drive. You will reach the Water Tower - veer to the right. The Expo Headquarters Building (tan building with a green metal roof)is on the right. The front of the office faces the runway - visitors please park in front of the building. Directions from I-75 heading South I-75 South down to Macon. Take I-475 bypass around Macon and this will soon run back into I-75. Go to Tifton\, Exit 62. Turn right onto Hwy 319 going south to Moultrie. Once you get into the Moultrie city limits\, you will come to the first traffic light (Chevron station on left\, Best Western-Expo Inn on left). Turn left at traffic light onto 319 South Bypass. Continue to the third traffic light (BP station across the street on left\, Hardees on right) and turn left onto Hwy 133. Go approximately 3 miles and Sunbelt Expo (Spence Field) will be on the left. Directions from I-75 heading North I-75 North to Exit 18 in Valdosta. Turn left at the light and cross over the interstate. This road (Hwy 133) will carry you straight into Moultrie (approximately 35 miles). Once you are inside the city limits\, the road becomes a four-lane and the entrance (Gate 1) will be on your immediate right. Directions from Albany on HWY 82 Take Hwy 82 onto Hwy 133 straight to Moultrie. The road will be two-lane until you enter Moultrie. This road turns into the 319-Bypass. Continue through 3 traffic lights and turn left onto Hwy 133. Go approximately 3 miles and Sunbelt Expo (Spence Field) will be on the left.
